by RankNfile last modified 2007-07-28 20:51

Aug 2, 2007

8:00PM
Bakers & Painters Union Hall
7125 Governors Circle, Sacramento

Directions:

from Hwy 50 take CA-99 South, Florin Rd West exit, turn right onto East Pkwy, turn right onto Governors Cir. located on the right, past the mini-mall

Members of Local 8-Golden State make every attempt to attend this union meeting so you can question the local 8 leaders about what there plans are for upcoming negotiations in Oct.

Some questions you may want to ask your union leaders at this meeting.

1) Will these negotiations be open for members to observe and participate in? If no why not?

2) With the Southern Ca locals getting a contract why is the pension fund contributions not being disclosed to members? What’s the big secret?

3) What is the status of the Northern Ca pension fund? Can you (the ufcw leaders) prove it in writing?

4) Why is Jack Loveall still being paid a salary when he is retired? And who is the Advanced Labor Leadership?

Make sure once again everyone attending the meeting brings their recording devices this is the only way local 8 members can get accurate minutes of the meetings being that the Loveall leadership refuses to keep accurate minutes of each general membership meeting.

Union Metting

Posted by DKenshalo at 2007-07-27 18:35

I like the way they have there mettings up in Sac. As spread out as we are they should have mettings in each local so more people can be there but we know that isn't going to happen because they don't want members to be there, They like it the easy way by sending out there little peace of paper and asking you to check what is important to you that is the cowards way to run a union they don't want to heare what the members have to say they just want to give you what they think you should get and that hasn't been S--t for a long time. And what is it with Jack still working for the union and drawing pay? I was told that when I retired I couldn't do any work in the same industry I was working in. Whats With That
