The Great UFCW Retiree Sell Out?

In Dec 2007 Jacques Loveall delivered members of UFCW Local 8 what he claimed as a "no concessions" deal! Shortly after Ron Lind president of UFCW Local 5 and other Bay Area UFCW presidents followed suit with the same "no concessions" deal.

Soon after this document http://groceryworkers.org/savemart_v_albertson-27s_cba_2007-1.pdf/download hit the web and put much doubt into Loveall's "no concession" deal.

Now some six months later more about this Northern Ca grocery settlement is being unveiled and it appears that the UFCW retirees will be taking it in the shorts once again!

In this Northern Ca grocery "no concessions" settlement there was a "side letter" or as it's titled "Letters of Understanding". While most of the Local 8 members never got passed the cover sheet out lining the chump change raises that was negotiated in this 4 year deal many of the Bay Area members & retirees were all over the language that was written in the "Letters of Understanding"
