Another Local 8 Membership Meeting???

Just one month after Local 8's last general membership & business meeting Loveall's "voice of action" posted another meeting for April 17th, 2008 at 8:00pm.

Where? The Bakers & Painters Union Hall, 7125 Governors Circle, Sacramento.

Why another membership meeting so soon? Could this be Loveall trying to slip by a meeting to nominate delegates for the IU convention? It's April 3rd and still no offical word to the members by Loveall regarding nominations and elections for convention delegates which is required by the IU constitution as well as Federal Labor Law.

Does Jacques Loveall think he is above having to abide by the International Constitution as well as Federal Labor Law?

All these UFCW locals have abided by the rules set fourth to inform union members of nominations & elections within their locals.

So the question remains! Why hasn't Jasques Loveall and the other officers from local 8 informed their members of these nominations and elections for the international convention to be held in August???

All local 8 members reading this need to make every attempt to make this membership meeting on April 17th and question the local 8 leaders about the nominations and elections for convention delegates!
